Small External Filter

I want to free up more space in my tank and also rid it of an unsightly looking piece of black plastic (heater and filter compartment). Thought the tank in question is only a small 60l tetratec, so what would be a suitable extrenal filter i could use???

I was looking at a tertatec EX600 and a fluval 105 because they seem to be the most common brand, which would be best?

Are you into DIY? I could help you with the theory on building a fluidised bed filter. Otherwise eheim classic 2213 warehouse aquatics have it for cheap and they are affiliated with the forums and have lots of praise for service.
