Ok, so my divided betta tank isn't working as the guys are getting too stressed out and eating their tails, so that means I will soon have an empty 10 gallon tank that is fully cycled sitting empty. Now we know that can't happen, but I'm gonna need help with stocking this tank.

The last few times i've been into the LPS, they have had some dwarf gouramis that have really caught my eye. Can they successfully live in the 10 gal? What would make good tank mates?

i think that a pair could live in a 10gallon sucessfully. Not two males though as there could be competition over territory.Mabe with some dwarf cories or shrimp. There is lots of possibilitys

 Dwarf Gourami. An even tempered fish that should be placed together only with small, school-forming fish or bottom dwellers that do not nip at the long ventral fins, and should not be put with extremely lively fish.

I have had no probs with neon tetras with my honey dwarfs. but then again i am heavily planted (fake and real) and i have a 20 gallon

gauramis have been known to pick on coryadoris, not harm them but at least harrass them. Mine havent though.
