Fine, but "treat it" is also tricky when you don't really know the issue. It is best not to do anything rather than risk stressing out all the fish which any medicine or chemical additive will do, and that makes the other fish more likely to get whatever it is.
When I have had a fish develop the symptoms previously described, I just leave it alone. Sometimes if it clearly gets much worse and the fish seems to have difficulty eating, or is being picked on, I net it out and euthanize it. It is less cruel to the fish.
