Slit and ripped fins

I recently noticed that most of my tetras have split and frayed fins. I did a water change and started using Melafix. I also noticed some fish rubbing up against rocks. Sounds like ich. Doe's anyone out there have any experience with this Melafix? It's says to use for 7 days. Thanks.

He has a 10g with 2 Lemon Tetras and 3 longfin danios

I have have a 10 gal with 2 - Lemon Tetras and 6 - Harlequin Rosbarbs. I've also noticed a few white spots on some of them. Doe's ich cause fins to split. I started using Melafix today, but I think I might try the Quick Cure for ich. I'm not exactly sure what to do. Can Melafix and Quick Cure be used at the same time? Any advise would be appreciated. Thanks
