I just bought a new tank a little while back, and I did some research on some fish to buy, something that would look good, something I've had experiance with before, and something not that hard for a beginner
I have...
4 Penguin tetras
4 Giant danios
and 2 Blue gouramis
Now, my problem is, the penguin tetras seem to have little tough patches, they swim together most of the time, but sometimes get split apart, or bugged by the danios, now, the penguins, at the moment, are having no problem, just swimming back and forth in the tank, but last night, i noticed they wouldn't go anywhere near each other, and if one came close, then they'd chase it away, so i was wondering, is this any big problem, or is it worth worrying about?

I don't think you have anything to worry about. I would think it is more playing than fighting. Although tetras are shoaling fish, they rarely do in our tanks once they realize there isn't a threat present. They will pretty much go their seperate ways. As long as you don't notice any signs of stress, you should be fine.

ok, thank you, the penguins seem to be doing fine now, but the smaller one of the group keeps going and finding cover when the danios split them apart, but once the penguins get together again, it's like a joyous occation and they swim around happy again, lol
