Sliding Glass Lid/cover

hi all...again,

so i've been looking around for one the main reason being i need something to rest my lights on and i dont want the heat to bend a regular plastic condensation tray or dicolour it which would be overall rubbish, i'm proably just gonna buy from here the 36x12 one, scroll to the bottom glass sliding cover sets Has anyone else bought these if so do you have a picture so i can see if you can easily fit wires round the sides coming from the filter and heater

Have your own made to your proper size.
Buy some plastic "E Channel" from your local DIY store.

Then get 2 pieces of glass cut at you local glazier (4mm float will do)
You should get 2 pcs of glass cut to about 4 or 5mm less than the width and about 75mmm longer than half your aquarium length.
Get your glazier to notch the back corners off ( size - whatever your equipment dictates) for you so as you can get your wires and pipework to and from your tank.
Then simply thread your glass sections into the channelling and set on to the glass lip of your tank.
You can silicone a glass marble or similar to your panes to make it easier for you to open and close them.
