i never seem to be able to catch my fishes asleep. :zz

how exactly do fish sleep? and why cant i see mine do it or do i but just dont realise it cos they dont snore?!

As far as I know fish don't 'sleep' like you or I would. They are typically 'inactive' and simply linger around aimlessly for multiple hours at night (or day if nocturnal, or both if lazy). The closest thing to 'sleeping' I see my fish do is my Oscars lounging on their fattened bellies after a nice large treat.
