Skip And Cj's 30 And 5 Gallon Journal

looks good! seems like i need one of those since im running into that probelm myself.

How big is your tank? Over time I plant on having 7-10 of them to keep the minimal algae at bay, but I figured I'd see if the loaches make a quick snack of them or not. So far so good though :)

Well it's been a month since I've update pictures, so I thought we'd share.

Changes:
new lighing for the 30 gallon (2 20w tubes)
weekly liquid ferts.
Water Wisteria
1 Flame Gourami
1 Dwarf Gourami

And now for some pictures :)

First off is the new Dwarf Gourami, still in quarantine, seems to either be lazy or have a slight swim bladder problem lol.

The new flame Gourami, stunning little fish. He was in quarantine for a week before we added him to the 30g community and has been doing great!

The water level is a little low for the pic, but that's where it stands. The Hornwort is going out, I can't stand the stuff any more and always gets uprooted with any current. ALOT more Jungle Val will be going in to get the plantings thick on the right and the left.

I'm also thinking about adding a couple Amazon swoards, anyone had good/bad experience with it?

Thanks for looking, please leave your suggestions!

I love water wisteria. In my opinion - the most fish friendly plant.

My bamboo shrimp like to hang out on top and filter, and my peacock eels love to hang IN it and just... well... hang. Better than them going sand digging

My elephant nose loves the more spread out section and weavs in that too. Great plant and easy to raise :good:
