I might be able 2 get a deal on a skimmer rated for 200gallons (US) .. I have 80 gallons (US) ... can you over skim? lol would it be a problem? bad good?

I don't think you can over-skim. If theres no more junk in the water to skim out, the skimmer will just not be producing any more foam. So I'd say: if you like the skimmer, go for it!

Yeah, its really really hard to overskim. Make sure the skimmer will fit in your setup and you should be good to go :good:
 
Hehe, I mean like dimensions wise. For example, if your putting an in-sump skimmer in your tank and you have 24" of height in the sump area, dont buy a 36" tall skimmer ;)
