Last coulple of days my male angel has been acting very strange, very skiddish and has a "clamped tail" i beleive.
He was recently moved to this tank along with his breeding pair. I seperated them after their spawn. He was quite settled a week ago but now he nearly jumping out of the tank.

The tank is 40G i beleive 3ft and 18" high

Temp is currently 79oC
Ammonia 0ppm
Nitrite 0ppm
Nitrate 5-10ppm

I also Snapped some pics to show his tail... they will be uploaded shortly

I just did half dose of melafix to see if it would sooth him or calm him down. Please i need your advice. He is still eating however but the two haven't paired up like they used to.

What if anything should i do?

EDIT: This tank is very empty, thought it would be easier to keep it cleaner for new fry

Here is a healthy pic from the old tank.

Light with only room light, bring the temperature up to 82F. 10% water changes daily with water that is a few degrees cooler.

This is common with pairs that are moved, it might help to put a sturdy adult livebearer or two in, this will give them something to chase out of any territories they need to set up.

Thank you i will try that. I was doing the water changes, maybe the temp was a little too low. And ill pick out a healthy livebearer so that they can develpe their territory. right now the tank is very bare. Only one large fake amazon sword and the rock they originally spawned on. would adding more plants help settle the pair?

Angels will key territory off of objects in the tank, taller ones will help.
