Hi all,
I have a 36 gallon tank,,and idealy wanted the largest type of malawi cichlid,,or the largest pair possible in my tank,,please help,,,dont know which type of fish to go for,,i know,,,or shall i say been told i could have around 10 cichlids in the tank,,but i would rather have just the one ,,or a pair,,,,any suggestions,,,,many thanx all who give advice.

aq single fish would probably be lonely and one large fish is much harder to keep healthy than 4 smaller fish in terms of water parameters

To avoid conflicts and bioad problems, the recommended rule of thumb is 1"sq/gal. While africans can be and often are "over stocked", this "rule" is suggested to easily maintain optimal water parameters and living conditions without needing too much extra attention.

sorry wasn't aimed at you but if i miss read it so could he/she sorry yes your maths there is right

it is a corner fluval,161 litre tank
