Sinking Cucmber

How do I get cucumber to sink? I have tried boiling it and squeezing the air out of it but it just partially sinks then emerges and is caught by the water flow

Stick a stainless steel fork or spoon through it. You can buy a fancy thing called a 'screwcumber', but forks and spoons work just as well
 
Incidentally, cucumber is very poor from a nutritional point of view, so you might like to try courgette (zuccini), slices of apple, sweet potato or split broccoli stalks.

i use a rock with elastic band with a length of string on so i can lower and remove easily
