I just noticed that Cloud (the betta) has a single white dot on his side... It's larger than salt and I know it's not Ich.... any ideas? IF I have to treat the tank, I'll take the snails out and put them in the main tank.... but I dunno what it might be.

Is it a dot or a spot, does it look fluffy, and red edging to the spot.

it's a dot. no fluffiness, no red edges... just a white dot. i tried to get a picture, but he won't let me see the other side of his body. he's weird like that sometimes.

If the dot is the size of grain of salt it sound like ich, whitepot, any flicking and rubbing going on.

no, it's bigger than salt. it's about the size of his food pellet. no flicking... just being his normal weird little self... with a spot on his side.

Well it could be bacterial or parasite, i would just add some melafix for now.

ok, thanks :) i changed his water and cleaned *a* plant... i'm in the process of getting the nasty stuff out that the snails aren't getting

Keep a close eye on him for signs of parasites, if the patch starts to get bigger, and fluffy looking you could have columnaris.
