hello,
i have noticed one of my bala's has some white scratches on his eye. they are not fluffy and i am thinking it could be a self inflicted injury(they regulary take scales off due to the scatty nature of these fish). has any one seen this before and can anyone recommend a treatment i can use to help clear this up?
tried to get some pics but they make his whole eye look white and are a bit deceptive!!

Can we take a look at your water stats in ammonia,nitrite,nitrate, and ph.
How many gallons is the tank.
How many fish and which type.
If they are scratches they should heal on there own, if there white specs that can be eye flukes.

water stats are all o.k.
tank is 450ltr (5x2x2)
tank mates are clown loach, angles gouramis and plec- see profile.

they dont look like specs but it is dificult to tell- look more like scores

Do you mean like red scratch marks if so I would maybe add some melafix.
