Silver Shark Diet

hi everyone, i am new to this forum and would like some advice. i have recently bought some silver shark and would like to vary their diet, at the moment i am feeding them tropical fish flakes but, looking round the net, i have found that i can feed them veg, on one particular site it says that i can feed them cucumber, all i want to know is how do i prepare any veg for them, i cant exactly slice a piece of cucmber and throw it to them can i?, so basically what do i do, many thanks for taking the time to even read this.

Hi sdrider2003 All i do is wash the cucumber then slice it quite thick and put a weight through it so it will sink(this weight is from an aquatic plant). You will proberly find that most of your fish will eat it and it will break up if left into long just keep an eye on it. Hope this helps.
