Woke up this morning to find 2 of my silver dollars unable to close there mouths.

they look like they smashed face first into something and broke there lip or something but its a bit weird 2 of them did it in one night?

any ideas?

seems a bit better not ive cleaned the tanks and stuff.

i have to admit ive been real busy this week so havent touched the tanks till today and i dont think the filter was running well so they were breathing quite fast.

now ive sorted it and the filters are working properly and making alot of ripples they seem better.

im wondering if cos of the shape of there mouths, did the continuous gasping bend there lips?

Usually an open mouth is a sign of something stuck but i doubt tht would happen to two fish.
Hows the mouth now.

What was your test results in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph, sounds like bad water quality.
But you done the tank now and there nearly back to normal.
You could maybe add some melafix for there sore mouths.
Keep a close eye on there mouths make sure they don't go really red.
