silver dollars and brown knife fish

do silver dollars need to be kept in a school? if so how many? also do brown knife fish require the same care as the blck ghost knife fish?what are the differences?

Silver dollars should be in a group of at least 6 fish IMO, the more you have of them the more comfortable they feel and the less nervous they will be.

Which brown knife are you talking about, the African brown knife Xenomystus nigri or the South Amerian brown ghost knife Sternachella schotti?

It also should be mentioned that silver dollars grow to be between 6-8" and a group of 6 would require a very large tank as they love length over height.
