buying a set up that amongst other things has one stunning Silver Dollar, approx 4 inch, but its the only silver dollar in the set up, adds an extra dimension to the set up, stunningly bright silver colouration

are they shoaling fish primarily?

i will not be interested in getting any more of them

Is it in the fish's best interests to move him on to a set up that contains other Silver Dollars?

Thanks

Yes, they are schooling fish, and really need to be kept in groups. Otherwise they will be very skittish and not comfortable. So the answer to your question is yes, it woud be in the fish's best interest to be rehomed with other silver dollars.

Yes, you need to put them in at least a group of three or more. I have 3 and they do great! If you think one looks nice, then put three together. You wont beleive your eyes. Beatiful fish :)

Seriously though get some more because they are shoaling fish. :)

lol they can grow from 5mm to 50mm in a couple of months, and have quite a light bio load.

i'm a plus on the shoaling, i have 3 and they are still very shy, hell at work we have a tank of about 12 and they're very skittish! just in their nature :p

I have five....they are shoaling....and really do look good.

If you feel you have to move him on (and give him away ;0 ) mine would always like a friend :)
