dont silk plants still have plastic stems? would that rip a bettas fins? if so could i maybe use a nail file to get rid of any sharp points, or even put a drop of silicone on them so they arent sharp any more?

yes, many silk plants still have plastic stems. if they extend outward from the base of the leaves, they can tear bettas fins.
you solution sounds fine...file off the edges and/or silicone.

great! thank you, i had been looking in my lfs and had noticed they had sharp point on some and was hoping that would work since i really liked the looks of them!
