Silk Plants

I recently purchased some silk plants from a craft store for a project. I did not use all of them and i was wondering if they could be put into my aquarium. They don't have to be purchased from a pet store to be suitable to be used in a aquarium do they?

I don't see why you cant use the ones you have. I did use silk ones a while ago but found the didnt last that long as they did get a coating of algae on them and did not scrub up too good. Also make sure the plants you have are in keeping with an aquarium setting and do not look out of place. Other than that go ahead ! .....you have nothing to lose.

I used to do floristry years ago and bought alot of silk foliage for arrangements. I dont see any difference in the material used for those and the ones in the pet shops for aquariums.
