Silica Sand Substrate

Hi,

Ive just replanted my tank, Ive got anubias, amazon swords and tape grass and some hygro will these plants grow well in silica sand. I have a CO2 Nutrafin system, will they be alright?

Charlie, I have read that sand is a better substrate for plants as the rocks dont allow them to root good. I am going to find out today about the sand myself......2 big ole bags waiting for me to get the rocks out of my 55
