In my last post a few weeks ago I made a joke in one of my responses about trying to get my guys/girls in the mood for love.
Of my 5 peacocks, 2 look almost the identical. However one is the dominant alpha male of the tank and the other is the one who usually hides in the corners, or behind the water return pipe, and usually looks a little scruffed up. Not too bad but a little.
Last night with only my little purple night lights on, they seemed to be behaving differently. They almost looked like boyfriend and girlfriend. (I realize that these are not very scientific terms or descriptions). They were swimming real close to each other, sometimes head to tail side by side. I thought to myself could they be spawning (which would make the hider a female hider I guess).
Today during feeding, and you know how voracious these guys appetites are, and how aggressive they get at feeding time, the female (I guess she is a female) stayed squeezed in behind a rock and didn't come out for food.
IS SHE PREGGERS?
Thanks
Mike
