Does maracyn 1 or 2 or both together kill beneficial bacteria? DOesn't say it does on their box, says that their products have been tested and most of them don't (but can't really tank a company's word on anything really)...
But I dunno why else I would be getting ammonia readings again in my bettas' tank.
I did do a large water change yesterday to get rid of some fungus medication in the tank (don't see how this would've killed the bacteria if that's what happened)...

Nitrite is at 0.. nitrate is showing a less than 5 reading. Ammonia.. which has been 0 for some time now is showing with a 0.50 reading.

Did I kill the bacteria in the filter? Or should I wait a day to see what the readings are then or what. Just UUUGH frustrating. Finally had at least one of our tanks cycled and then BAM.. something goes wrong as usual... SIGH.

I think to be honest maracyn one and two can knock the filter bacteria, it bound to even though the manufacture says it dosn't.

Yeah... Oh well... maybe I can convince bf to get some more Bio-Spira... doubt it'll work but eh...
