Sick Tetra

Hi

I have some neon tetras, one of them has gone really skinny the last few days, with a little lumpy pot belly. His colour has faded and now it looks like he has lost an eye

There looks like there is a silver metalic lump where his one eye should be

He doesnt react to things outside the tank wheras the rest will i.e passing my hand close.

What can i do?

If you have had any fish that have died recently I would research neon tetra disease, it is when a fish eats something toxic, if your fish has any of these happening then it is likely he has neon tetra disease.
-losing colour until its really pale
-body will be lumpy
-fish has diffuculty swimming
-spine may become curved.

Hi there, it looks like he has all those bar the spine being curved

He has become really weak and started getting sucked up the filter, now as i cant turn the filter off ever time this happens all night i have had to take him out

He is now in a bucket of old tank water which is being kept warm and dark, he is hardly moving so i dont expect him to last long. The other fish were getting really nippy towards him so he must be less stressed now

Dammm!
