Black colouring can be bad water quality, bacterial, fish tb, cancer, damage to skin.

Does the fish act listless and lethagic.
Does the fish rest alot, leaning to oneside, or tilting to oneside.
Does the fish struggle to stay balanced.

Long stringy white poo can be constipation, bacterial, internal parasites.

What do you feed the fish.

fish is not showing any signs of change of behaviour since i got it it is very active. i feed them flakes but bought some pellets today would that be a change or are they the same thing, i also bout what i thought was brine shrimp but was in flake form is that what its ment to be. all tests show amonia and nitrite is 0 wud it be the ph at 7.6 or temp at 77f that mite not be suitable

I would introduce some frozen foods and veg into there diet.
Frozen daphnia and brime shrimp good.

Cook some frozen peas for a few minutes. Let cool down and pop out of shell.
Mush into small pieces and add to the tank.

If the peas don't clear the stringy white poo up get back to the board.

Some daily water changes.
If the black shading dosn't disappear in a few days, get back to the board.
