Well it may just be my instinct but my platy isn't acting quite right. She has 2 raised scales on her side and is swimming slowly. She hasn't been eating and she is pretty skinny now. I made a video and will post it when it is finished loading. What should I do for her?

But she is skinny not fat like a fish with dropsy would be. There are only 2 raised scales.
Here is a video of her.

She is also swimming kind of crooked.

looking at the video it looks fine to me, is he being bullied?

Feed him up a bit, if he is still staying skinny, it could be a internal parasite problem, again you need to use anti internal bacteria med for this also.

She wasn't bullied until she got skinny. Then the other fish started chasing her they don't do it too much though. She will take one bite of food but usually spits it back out. I think I will try some frozen bloodworms my fish usually go crazy for them.

You do know that its a male not a female dont you?

try diffrent foods, live, frozen, dried, flake, a good diet will keep them very healthy and less prone to disease.

Umm no it's a female. She had babies about 5 weeks ago. ;)
An older picture of her... I do know more about fishes than you might think.

That pic above yes clearly shows its a female,

this one however below looked very much male lol.. until now i realise her fins are very clamped :)

Clamped fins are not a good sign. I lost two fish from this (both platies, both female) in the last month.
They started off a lot like that, refused all food and clamped their fins, and due to circumstances beyond my control (a holiday and being flooded in) I couldn't get treatment until it was too late. So I don't know what cures it and what doesn't. Mine became gaunt, hardly moved and dropped stringy white poo - a sign of internal infection or parasites. I knocked the last one out with clove oil and went over it carefully - nothing wrong on the outside other than being very skinny. She recovered from the anaesthetic but died two days later. The other one died about a month ago. She had scales lifting off when she went.

Mine were much, much skinner and more lethargic when I lost them. If it's the same illness you can probably save her. My best bet would be internal bacteria med. I've never used one, so try the Interpet 9. A lot of people say that works.

What is the fish that looks like a black golfball that went chasing after the platy in the video?

The fat black fish is a balloon molly. I don't think we have Interpet 9 in the US. Is there a similar medication here? I lost my other female platy to the same thing about a month ago she got skinny stopped eating and then died.

Well i'm just updating to say that the 2 raised scales on her side turned into a tumor like growth on her side. I separated her just to make sure it's not a wound. If it gets any bigger I will euthanize.
