Sick Platy Update

fin rot.

thankfully, we began treatment day before yesterday for fungal infections... amoxicillan. she's looking much worse, but i'm praying she'll pull thru. at least we know what it is. her back fin is starting to turn white today... poor little thing.

is there hope for a fish w/ fin rot? should i be glad she's quarentined? (i know i can't spell that word, sorry)

She's ok in there quarantine tank, i would add some salt aswell for the stress and it will help with the fins.

i did... didn't know how much to put- so i put a small pinch. *shrugs*

think she'll make it? or not

Usually one tablespoon to 5 gal, it will do her good.

it's only one gallon. i guess the pinch was ok then.

A teaspoon should be fine, good luck.

Sorry forgot mix it in a jug taken from the tank water till it desolves, be surprised how many just throw a teaspoon into a bowl.

Yes fine, it desolved, as it can burn the fish.
