One of my platy's is in a bad way, I noticed a couple of days ago it had started to sit on the bottom (it still swam around) but now it is on the bottom exclusively on it's side, it's body is curled over. It has a chunk of it's scales missing on one side and it's fins are ragged. The tank is a heavily planted community with Rainbows, other Platy's, female Betta's, Siamese Algae Eater, Cardinal's and Amano shrimp.

Is this likely something medication can help with?

Tank size: 75 gallons
tank age: 3 years+
ammonia: 0
nitrite: 0
nitrate: 2
tank temp: 28'c

Don’t use medication unless you absolutely know what it is, wait for more experienced members to comment on this

But in the meantime post as many photos as you can of the fish

Include a video too but the video section on the website doesn’t work so you will need to upload to YouTube then link

can't view the picture.

if the fish has stopped eating, curled into a U shape and isn't swimming, then euthanise it because it is in pain and dying.
