I just got home and was feeding my fish when i noticed one of the Otos looked really funny. Well i think he is sick and i dont know what i can do for him. please HELP ME OUT

if you cant tell his tummy is huge and his eyes are really BIG as well.
any advice on how to make him better or what it is would be helpful..
I had the same problem with one of mine a few months back
yours doesn't seem as bad...i asked around to what it could be and kept the oto on her own. There was some people claiming that she may be pregnant, others were claiming it could be dropsy. Mine sadly died...
To me that could be normal oto pregnancy, i would keep her on her own and observe. If it does turn out to be dropsy, apparently there's not a lot that can be done for Oto's.
I can say for sure it is not gravid (ie carrying eggs). If it were, there would be yellow looking patches on each side toward the tail from the belly (if that makes sense). I did once have a preggo otto that scattered her eggs but were no males to fertilize.
could be anything from bacterial to dropsy. Ianho is correct that it is difficult to medicate these fish as they are sensitive to meds and most salt. You could try Epsom salt dips at half recommended concentration. 1/2 teaspoon per gal. Will help draw fluid out of the tissues. Otos are "salt sensitive" but epsom salt is not like aquarium salt so Im confident the fish will be ok with half dose dips. Leave the fish in the dip for only 10 mins 2X a day. Epsom salt (NOT aquarium salt) is very useful for swelling issues such as popeye, swimbladder, constipation or dropsy (although dropsy usually is fatal anyway),

thanks for the reply. After last night and a while today this is what the oto looks like it is the lighter color one and it dose seem to be thicker then the other one next to it. they eyes dont seem to be bulging as much anymore or am i wrong and just cant tell..
