Sick New Betta - Tail Fungus

My new Betta, along with one of a dozen Cardinals, has got fungus on its caudal trunk and tail. Looks like clear/white mucous, not like hairs.

Had it quarantined for 2 days (though in new tank water, not in old tank water). Seemed OK when I transferred it.

I put a little Melafix in (antibacterial, helps regrowth, smells like menthol), and 1 tblsp / gallon of salt.
 
I would isolate the fish in two different tanks, you need something stronger than Melafix. Keep adding salt, that's a good idea. :good:

Get another med ASAP, Melafix really doesn't do much for fungus.

Drat. He didn't survive the night.
