I have recently noticed that 1 of my Neon Dwarf Gouramis has a swollen belly its had it for 3 - 4 days now,it just swims at the back of the tank and if any other fish comes near it it nips them and scares them away. Can someone tell me whats wrong with him and if my other fish are in danger. thanks.

Need water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.
Can the fish maintain it's balance in the water.
Are scales sticking out.
What do you feed the fish.
What does it look like when the fish goes to the toilet.
For now I would try some shelled peas.

My water is ok ammonia - 0 ppm
nitrite - 0 ppm
nitrate - 10 ppm
p.h - 6.0
His balance is fine and the scales have got larger were the swelling is,i dont know what its like when he does the toilet i havent noticed,i feed all fish Tetra Ruby or Aquarian tropical flakes and bloodworms 1-2 times a week, what would the shelled peas do when i put them in. thanks

High protein diet bad flakes and bloodworms.
Need more frozen foods and veg in his diet.
Shelled peas are a laxative to a fish.
Cook some frozen peas for a few minutes in boiling water, let cool down, pop out of shell, mush between fingers and add to the tank.

Thats great ill defo do that i noticed he aint been eating too ,i have recenty cut my feeding back to every second day and the light is only on 5hrs a day has this anything to do with it or is it just a poor diet, how often should u feed veg to your fish.

Try and feed a veg twice a week like broc, peas, savoy cabbage, sproats, spinach, lettuce, cucumba, anything green really.
Frozen daphnia good for digesting fish food.
