I've had my Molly's for about 8 months now. About a month ago one of them started swimming vertically, its tail is down and mouth up. It will swim around all day like this. I found out this was a swim bladder disease most likely. So I tried to feed my Molly peas, because I read those would be good for the constipation, but there have been no positive results, it still swims vertically.
A few days ago I noticed that it was laying on the gravel. It will lay on the gravel and try really hard to swim up, but can't. Eventually, though, it will swim, but it swims very strangly.
These are dalmation Molly's that are mostly black, but lately I've been noticing the stomach of the sick Molly has turned more white, I don't knwo if this is from it scraping its belly on the gravel while it tries to swim. Its top and back fins are begining to look smaller and sickly.
What can I do for this guy? I've noticed the other Mollys trying to nudge it and swim around it when it is on the gravel. I could seperate it, but I feel the stress might be too much. Should I put it in a plastic fry container? The container I have is plastic and hangs over the side, the fish won't have alot of room in it though.
