Hi, I have posted about a new Cichlid tank I have set up. It consists of 4 Kribs, 4 blue cheeked dwarf, and 4 rams. One of the Kribs is spending all its tiome at the very top of the tank. I have seen this in other fish I have kept but none of them ever really lasted longer than a couple of days b4 dying. This fish however has been doing this for about 2 weeks and is also feeding fine. Does anyone know what might be wrong with him, or is this normal behaviour in Kribs? Thx.

A cichlid at the top of the water is a good indication of aggression in the tank - the fish is basically finding the only spot that hasn't been claimed as territory - the top. What size is your tank? To house 12 dwarf cichlids it should be at least 75 gallons.

4ft 40 gallon. I have a 26 gallon with 12 tiger barbs in only. Would I be better moving a pair of the Kribs into that and maybe a pair of my rams in with my cories an tetras in the 20 gal?

Hi, I have moved a pair of Kribs to my 26 gal with the tiger barbs and I have moved a pair of Rams (finding these harder to sex tho) into a 20 gal with 4 apple snails, 7 bronze cories, and 9 neon tetras. I have checked on think fish community creator and all seems fine in terms of the stocking of those 2 tanks. Is my 40 gal ok now tho with 4 keyhole, 2 rams, 2 kribs, and 2 blue cheeked dwarf cichlids? The community creator doesnt take into account terratory battles. Also is Blue Cheeked dwarf Cichlid an actual name?
