Fish Fanatic
Hi,
After losing my regular JD to an unknown disease a few weeks ago, my Electric Blue JD (2") started to appear poorly, not eating and very shy and dark coloured, he also had long white faeces, so I presumed that it may be an internal bacteria.
All the water levels are fine, no nitrites or ammonia, PH okay, the nitrates were a little high but I have brought them under control too.
I have added a interpet internal bacteria treatment to the 400 litre tank last thursday, second dose on sunday as suggested, but today, he is even worse, very lethargic and one eye seems to have gone a little misty.
The RTBS, lemon barbs and plec all seem fine, behaving normally and no weird faeces.
I have a small 10 litre tank which I could set up and get him out, maybe try dosing it with internal treatment as well, is it worth it, or would the stress of doing the move probably kill him anyway?
I am not sure what else I can do, I have read that salt helps sometimes, but I have no experience with using it.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks
