My female guppy has been steadily getting worse over the last couple of days. She will not eat and it appears she is loosing her fins at an alarming rate. The water parameters are good and i have been doing water changes at least every other day. Her gills are a little red, and i notice some of the fish scratching their gills on stuff in the tank.  Also she had a white stringy poop for a couple days. I have done lots of searching on-line for possible problems, but none describe all these symptoms.

How many gallons or litres is the tank.
How many fish and which type.
Can you post water stats please.
What's the make of the test kit you are using.

Any excess slime on body or gills.
Do the fish dart around the tank.
Any signs of laboured breathing, or gasping at surface of tank.
Do the fish swim in a jerky movement.
What do you feed the fish.
Is the anus enlarged or red and inflamed.
Do the fish look skinny or bloated.

The tank is 10 gallons with 6 adult guppy and 9 fry that where born a week ago, Also two molly's I know it is overstocked. Working on that. I had to have fish store test my water the amonia level is zero, the nitrite was 0, and nitrite was 20 i believe. The fish will occasionally dart in the tank and the fish i am concerned about has had trouble breathing also leaving her mouth open a lot. She also looks very skinny and her gravid spot disapperaed. anus does not seem enlarged on her and the rest of the fish seem to be ok, but i have noticed some are starting to loose a little of their tail fin. I am working on setting up another tank to balance out population as i am concerned about their being that many fish in there I was unaware of this when i bought them i'm new to the aqurium world.

also i feed them wardley tropical fish flake with no enhancers, very little bits of tetra baby shrimp sun dried every 2-3 days, and a blanched zuchini every other week or so.

I don't always trust lfs when it comes down to testing your water.
I would strongly suggest investing in some liquid test kits of your own.

Is the fish spine bending.

Has she lost weight due to not eating.
Does her tummy look sunken in.
has she just given birth and lost alot of weight.

Need to also rule out gill flukes with the darting, inflamed red gills.
That's why we need good reliable water stats which you do yourself.
Also some lfs use test strip cards which are not accurate.

For now water change and increase aeration.
Take a sample of your water to the lfs, and maybe ask them if you can stay with them while they test your water.

yes her spine is bending she looks arched most of the time. She has definitely lost weight im guessing from not eating she used to be a strong eater then nothing for 3 days now. She is  sunken in by her gills and belly as well. She has not givin birth since i have had her. Also I was able to watch the guy at my lfs test the water so i was able to see the reults, however i am getting the good kit asap. Thank's for your help would like to get the best idea what is wrong so i can treat the tank before this starts killing off my fish.

What's your location.

It could be anything from fish tb, internal parasites, fish can also get internal flukes, as well as external.

I think I would worm your fish.

How old is she?

she passed away last night but now i notice my other female guppy is acting lethargic and has a dark gray patch on her side this morning she has also stopped eating. She is acting like she was when she had her fry a little over a week ago. her gravid spot goes from black, red, then clear. Not always in that order. She spends most of her time sitting on the bottom or resting right at the top and is pooping a lot. I hope she is going to be ok. What would you recommend to use for worming them I live in Grants Pass, OR I do not know the exact age of the fish, but i did buy them at the same time from PETCO and they where both preggo the fish in question now had babys just over a week ago and has been fine untill today. I have had them for a little over two weeks.

Where grant pass. Is your location the united states.

I would worm your fish for camallanous worms.
Levaimsole is the best med for camallanous worms.

Ask lfs to write your water readings down for you.
