Sick Guppy

Sorry he's not going to make it is he laboured breathing also.
yeah :( lovely back fin barely moving either. What makes you say he wont make it?

edit - he was just lying on the bottom of the tank yesterday, hes swimming a bit now allbeit at the top of the tank

Fish go to the top of the tank then the bottom they seem to change ever few days, seen it to often if a sign of a dying fish, and if he's laboured breathing he not in good shape and know he won't make it sorry.

okay, he just went loopy for 20 seconds or so, like top speed then upside down, thought he had died, lying on his side. Then got up, got his balance again and is swimming aroundbut looking worse. It's time to get the net, knife and towel then?:(

I've also noticed some black spots on his body, i think he may have had them for a long time, thought they were part of his colours but they are more vibrant now. Should i treat the tank for blackspot? I was planning to buy some loach tomorrow as well

He's dead, buried him in the garden

RIP :( Was fond of him

I was just reading that post and yes, they are roughly pin sized

Should i get a treatment for the tank? None of the other fish have black spot

Or should i go ahead and get 4X zebra loaches that i was planning on getting?

If the spots resemble that article yes i would.
No don't add anymore fish there ill, wait till you done the med then leave it a couple of weeks.
I know you like to buy new fish been there but patience pays off in the end.
I would think of investing in a quarantine hospital tank so you can quarantine new fish for a few weeks.
R.I.P. Little fishie.
