Hey Gourami Lovers!
I have a post up in the emergency section but it's not getting much attention so I thought I'd ask your expertise.
Below are pictures of my sick Gourami. I found him stuck to the filter Monday morning so I shut off the filter for a bit. He sank to the bottom, laid on his side while the swordtail and platty nibbled at him.
I set a hospital tank and added some melafix. He spent the remainder of the afternoon lying on his side, struggling.
I didn't think he would make it but when I came in this morning, there he was, swimming around!
I've heard that Gouramis are prone to fungus and get sick very easily. But I am having a hard time treating this guy because I can't tell what's wrong.
Please look at the pics below. I can't tell if those wounds on his head are from the others picking at him or if he has a fungus. What do you think?
