Sick Gourami

I wouldn't buy any more Dwarf Gouramis for now - they're prone to a fatal Iridovirus. Don't go to your LFS for advice, ask here. No one here will take a penny from you or try to sell you miracle liquids.

Hey. Yeah I thought that chemical that removes nirites might have that effect on the bacteria. I just use normal water conditioner now - only used that stuff once when I had a huge ammonia problem cos I was trying to save the sick fish. I won;t use it again.

Tested my water today and the good thing is my nitrates were quite high, but no nitrites! YAY. We have cyclige!!!


I got a pearl gourami to replace the dwarf. No more dwarfs for a while I think.


Thanks for the help - we'll see how I go now the tank is cycled.

Now if only my flame would stop beating up the pearl ;_;.

i just had similar problem i used furan-2 u sould try it!
