Sick Gourami, Needs Help :(

I had 3 gold gouramis, 1 oplain gourami and 2 kissing gouramis in my 60 gallon along with a couple other fish and things were ok, the male gold gourami chased the females a bit but he backed off a lot lately since there were higher numbers of females now. I just got my water tested and I dont know the exact number but the guy said that my nitrates were high. I just did a water change about 3 days ago and am going to do one today.

But now one of the gold gouramis looks like her face is pealing off on one side! I have her in the hospital tank with a guppy that is being treated for a fungus issue at the moment.. it was the only place I could put her. Is there anyway I can help my gourami? I wont be able to go back to my lfs until saturday

You might want to repost this under Emergencies and if you can add a picture. What do you mean her face is peeling off? Are scales falling off? Is there a film on her face?

I did after posting this one, I didnt realize there was a section for emergencys until after I posted. Thanks for posting on that one too. She looked like she was decaying.. she had a big raw spot on the side of her face and the skin around it was slowing going away. Sadly she passed away last night
I would have gotten a picture but my camera wasnt charged and wouldnt accept different batteries.. so I would going to do it today but its to late
