Eeek lol - That must be a terrible feeling - thinking your fish has had some terrible injury like that!

You are right, I did miss my fish while I was gone - so I tried to make up for it by visiting lot of aquariums ;)

aquariums are cool i like it when you find a big slow moving fish that stays near the glass looking out at you hehe that reminds of a pet shop i went to that has a big white Giant gourami that just sort of looks out at you as if in deep thort  ............oh heres an intresting story one of my friends had 2 gold fish both of them must be 11 years or older any way sad to say the one he liked best named harry the barsted died about a munth ago i no 2 weeks after it died he still had it in the Freezer i think its still there he wanted to hold a Funeral for it with his family some time ...oh incase u want to no hes 29 years old

:p The aquarium I went to (I also went to a museum dedicated to the ocean) was a very small-scale one and not that well looked-after unfortunately. The place looked pretty dead actualy. What was interesting, however, was that the fish acted particularly curious when they saw me. I suspect it was because they aren't as used to people walking in and out so they thought it was 'feeding time' whenever I (or any occasional person) approached.

That story is weird lol. I have heard of someone else doing something similar on this forum.
