Last night i came home from work and found that my female dwarf gourami still isnt eating. She tends to sit near the bottom of the tank and hides out in the plant coverage. I have tested my levels which come out at:
Ammonia 0
Nitrite 0
Nitrate 12ppm
ph 8.5 (fine for local area)
24.5 C
70L tank

I am worried that she is getting stressed as the male dwarf gourami keeps chasing her and nipping at her (he is twice her size). What is also worrying is that i have started to notice white stringy poo coming from 1 of my tiger barbs as well. They all seem fine and are eating and behaving normally - but surely this cant be right! I did a 15% water change last night and a gravel vac and noticed 2 white strings (which i presumed to be poo) on the gravel. These werent moving so could they be normal or could this be an internal parasite?

White stringy poo is often normal for fish. As it can be a sign of stress sometimes. Make sure there is plenty of cover in the tank. And that she can hide if she needs to. :good:

How does she look? Is she bloated or really skinny? Do any of the fish look skinnier then normal??

There is a fair amount of cover in the tank with natural plants, a ceramic pot and some slate for her to hide amongst. She looks thinner to me, which isnt suprising as i dont think she has ate in 3 days now . I have fed them all again tonight and they are all eating bar the female gourami - so i think her days could be up...
