Hi Guys, just noticed my peppered cory looks rather strange. It is just sitting there and only moving now and then. When it swims it bangs into things and then floats a bit then swims again, sometimes turns upside down whilst swimming.
It also has fury stuff all over its scales etc...
It isnt white dots its more fury looking, like cotton type fury stuff.

Any ideas guys??? thank you

It sounds like fungus combined with something that is effecting its swim bladder. You need a decent anti-fungal medicine for the cottony stuff. Follow the directions for dosing- do not over dose, do not stop short of the full recommended treatment.

The most common cause of swim bladder problems is constipation. The best treat ment for this is Epsom salt- 1 teaspoon/gal. Epsom is benign and wont harm anything- it will just act as a laxative. before using it, determine if the fish is pooping.

The next most common cause of bladder problems is internal infection which would require antibiotics- best dosed in the food if the fish is eating. Before using them, eliminate constipation as the cause.

I can't suggest meds since what is available here vs in the UK is totally different.

Yes he has bacterial inections, the fluff on the scales if columnaris, you will need to treat the tank or issolate him if you can, you will need primafix and myxazin.
