I belong to a very small fish forum where there aren't really that many people who know what they're doing, so I end up answering most of the questions. This one has me kinda stumped, though, so I was wondering if you could help me out:
"I have 4 corydoras, 2 albino and 2 salt and pepper. I had them in my 55 gal tank with my other sweet fish. One starting acting differently and would lay on its side. Then I noticed that on its underside it has a large white blotch on it and its scales are sticking out like they would with dropsy but the fish is not bloating. I noticed again that all the corys seems to be suffereing fro the same illness so I took them out of the 55 and now have themin my hospital tank that is 10 gal. I know it sounds silly but I really love these babies. I have had them for almost 2 years now. I don't want them to die and I don't want them to suffer. I want them to be happy like they use to be. I have looked all over the web trying to find someone with a simular problem but have had no luck. Its not ICH, its not flukes, its not acting like a fungal infection or velvet. The blotches almost look like burns that have blistered. Or like something that has been in water to long. Can you give me an idea of what it may be or what to try to make them better?"
The scales sticking out says "dropsy" to me, but I'm not sure. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!
