Here's a fish question I just got and am not sure about:
My clowns are about 5 years old. The larger one has white spots on his body and his tail doesn't look that great either. His stopped eating yesterday and he's hiding in a flower pot. I've treated the tank with Melafix because that's what worked the last time he was ill. This time, after four days and no improvement, I did a partial water change and still no improvement. My husband thinks it is Ick, but I've never seen ick that looks like this stuff. I've seen velvet and this really doesn't look exactly like velvet either. I was going to add salt to the tank but I've read that clown loaches don't like salt. The white spots are about the size of a beebee, but they appear to have a center that is whiter than the rest of the spot. If I don't do something soon, I will lose one of my favorite fish.
I know this info is probably too vague, I am just hoping.
Please help soon!!!
Thanks
