I got some Clown loaches last night, but all arrived in good heath apart from one who was covered in slime, all over his eyes making them cloudy, all over his fins leaving a white residue and he looks yellow in colour instead of being orange, with also white spot. All the others are healthy so I removed him to a small container to lessen the risk of infection to the others and monitor him over the night. He is still alive this morning but he still seems covered in slime. Do you think i should but him back into the tank and risk infecting the healthy other ones to treat him, or just treat him in the container, as I dont think he will last long in there as it is not heated or filtered.

Hey,

I would keep him in the smaller tank to treat him, if its got good filter etc and water is OK.

Does it sound like this ?

Pop Eye Pop eye is an infection that can have a few causes such as bacteria, Poor water quality, injury, poor nutrition, tumors, vitamin deficiently. The symptoms are quite clear.
Symptoms:Eye or eyes protrude from head, cloudy eyes from bacteria infection.
Treatment:Generally hard to treat, u may try a broad spectrum antibiotic.

Got that from http://www.fishforever.co.uk/fish-disease.html

You could try the interpet bacteria treatment No 7 or 8 I think.

Im no expert on infections are cures though sorry I cant help you more.

If you look at the pop eye section here, does it look like that ?
