My Blue Ram Has some sort of fugus on his fins. We got him with a buddy and unfortunatly his buddy died within a week of being in my tank. shortly after he began to get a little fungus on his tail fins and we started treating him but it is not getting better. i have heard fungus is very common in rams and i have recently treated him in a seperate tank with a couple different treatments and he isnt getting any better,so i just bought a female ram for him and put him back into my main tank with the other fish to see if it is stress related to not having a partner. the male who is sick is about two inches long and we have him in a 30 gal mildly planted community tank with no co2 injector. my girlfriend fortunatly enough works at a pet store so we do bi monthly test the water and it has always been fine since he has been in the tank so im wondering if any one has any ideas of how we should treat him next. all of the other fish in the tank are small and do not have any fungus of any sort. please send a responsei will be checking often thank you.

The temp is 75 and the ammonia reads <0.02ppm and substrate im not sure what your asking but the rest i would have to send to you on monday

Do you not have your own test kit? There shouldn't be any ammonia in the tank that is detectable on the test kit, and the temperature ideally should be at least 82oF, but dependent on other species in the tank you may or may not want to adjust it, but in the long run it will be better for the rams if you do increase the temperature. What other fish are there in the tank? And substrate means the media in the bottom of the tank such as gravel or sand etc.

well my girlfriend checks it quite often at work but i do have some nutrient rich substrate for plants its not sand or rock its kinda like soil i also have like 5 neon tetras 2 sword tails one pregnant female one male 2 zebra danios 2 african dwarf frogs and a female kribensis

what treatments have you already tried? Any bullying going on in the tank? Id keep up on the waterchanges and give him a break from the meds for a while. Put the fish back in quarantine and keep the water ammonnia/nitrite free by doing daily partial waterchanges.
all the best
cheers
