Sick Betta

I noticed last night that my betta was swimming sideways and the front part of the body was very bulbous underneath but then thinned out towards the tail. Does it sound like internal parasites? Anyways, I added some salt to the tank and when i got home, he looked much better and was swimming almost upright. My question is, do i leave the salt or should i put him back in fresh water? Also, is there anything else I can do? What could he have? The water parameters are normal and he has been eating fine, this just happened like in a day. Any help or ideas would be excellent.

it is very possible, i did give him two shelled peas two nights ago, however, he still is not looking great. But he is still alive...

Oh no!
If it gets worse maybe use a med. I think BettaMax is the correct one.
Mine is sorta like that today! Though not on his side.
