Sick Betta

I noticed that Astrid was acting a little weird yesterday morning when I went to feed her. She seemed so weak that I didn't think she was going to make it. She made it through the day, and through the night as well! It's now more than 24 hours later and she is still very weak. She is losing her color as well. She is straining to get to the top and is having a hard time swimming. She didn't eat yesterday morning, last night, this morning OR this evening. I feed her and the others pellets that float on the water's surface. Since she can barely get to the top for air, she can't eat. First of all, what do you think is wrong with her, and what can I do for her? How can I get food to her?

may be lowering the water level so she doesn't have to swim so far?

Site says:

pale, gray or dull; stays at the bottom of the bowl only coming up for air

Is cause by:

cold, stressed, vitamin deficiency

Recommendation is:

BettaMax

prevent stress; add vitamins; don't overfeed; maintain constant temperature in the 72º - 80ºF.

Thank you for your suggestions. Unfortunately, when I woke up this morning, Astrid had passed away. She lived for three days after the symptoms first started showing. Thank you so much for all of your help though.
