Sick Betta

Ok, so I checked and the water is fine, bought some different food, not that he's eating. So I"ve been examining him, the end of his fins do look freyed, no white spots though, should I get some med for fin rot?

When Male Bettas are happy they will bubble nest, not all nest without seeing a female but its a sign they are in good health.

I will pick up peas and med tonight. How much water should I take out? Do I take him out while doing this?

I would definitely treat for fin rot I think. In the States you can get Maracyn 1 and 2, I believe that these are good for most ailments... though make sure you read the packaging as I am only remembering past posts and am not sure EXACTLY what they treat.

I believe I saw some of that last night, they have quite a few different kinds, it's a little overwhelming! The stuff I was going to get last night was for internal/external infection, but the lady didn't want to sell it to me because I wasn't for sure on what was wrong with the fish! Hello, I'm not a fish dr!

I just read on another thread that a symptom of tb is bent spine.... I noticed this morning (since I am being much more observant after being on this site) that when my fish is sitting at the bottom he is almost curled out, then when he was sitting his spine looked bent, I thought maybe he broke his back... I know, silly, but I'm stumped. Anyway could he have tb? Is there medicine for this?

Answered your post in the emergency section.
The spine could of bent due to a poor diet.
Spines can bend due to a vitamin defiency.
You need to improve the betta diet.
if the spine bent not sure there anything to be done.

ok, thanks, I think it is just a matter of waiting...... he is getting worse as posted on emergency thread, poor little guy!
