my first betta comet is ill,

he has been eating fine, but he's gotten all emaciated and lethargic, and his colour has faded out, he has also developed what looks like fungus today on some of his fins, have started treatment for fungus, but don't know what else to do,

have had him for about 9 months. not sure how old he was when i got him, but i don't think he was that old (although he was fully mature)

please help

Aww so sorry Ibble :( :( I can`t advice anything that you already don't know, as clean water, salt....Hope your poor boy pull trough, I have my fingerss crossed for you :good: :good:

Unfortunately he died during the night, wilder says (in emergencies) that it may be due to old age

he was in a divided tank so didn't get 100% water changes, but got regular 50% changes.

my poor boy :-( :rip: little comet

am thinking about treating the tank with anti internal bacteria or anti internal parasites meds as a precaution,

the worst thing about it was it was all so sudden, he has always been such a healthy little thing, and although he had been looking a bit thin, until yesterday his colour was fine, and all of a sudden he was all washed out looking, and developed the fungus looking stuff and then today he's gone.

So sorry Ibble......there seems to be a real run of Bettas being sick or dying at the moment. Poor little Comet......at least it was quick for him and he didn't suffer too much.

:rip: Comet

Thats really too bad :( ... sorry to hear that
